Security Review for Vibe Coders
The 5 checks, and the exact prompts, that stop a vibe-coded app becoming a breach headline
1 phase. 4 lessons. 4 labs. A short, execution-first course: two real 2026 vibe-coding breaches and the one pattern behind both, a concrete 5-point vulnerability checklist, the exact prompts (and Claude Code's built-in /security-review) that get an AI tool to check itself, and a repeatable pre-launch security pass ending in a real, written ship / fix / hire-someone decision.
4 lessons · 4 labs · 5-point checklist · 1 real security report
Outcomes you will have by the end
- A real, written pre-launch security review report — A combined threat model, five-point check, and independently-verified AI security review for one real app, ending in a justified ship / fix / hire-someone decision.
- The authentication-vs-authorization mental model — The single distinction behind almost every real vibe-coding breach so far — knowing it means you ask a fundamentally better question than "is this secure?"
- A reusable AI security-review prompt library — The exact 5-point review prompt, the diff-review prompt, and Claude Code's /security-review command, ready to run on your next build, not just this one.
- Verified certificate of completion — Issued by DeVenture Academy, tied to your completion record. Lists the threat-modeling, AI-prompted review, and verification skills you built.
What you will be able to do
Vibe-Coding Threat Modeling · The 5-Point Security Checklist · AI-Prompted Security Review · Independent Verification · Pre-Launch Security Reporting
Every phase, every lesson, every project
- Security Review for Vibe Coders (4 lessons) — Real vibe-coding breach case studies (Moltbook, Lovable), the five-point vulnerability checklist, AI-prompted security review and independent verification, a repeatable pre-launch security pass
The technologies you will use
Claude Code /security-review · Supabase · Lovable, v0, Bolt.new, Cursor, Replit Agent, or similar
Roles this course prepares you for
- Solo Founder / Indie Vibe Coder (Risk avoided: one real breach can end a small app entirely) — Run a real pre-launch security pass on every app you ship with an AI builder, instead of finding out about exposed data after launch.
- Freelance / Contract App Builder (A real security pass is a sellable line item on any client build) — Offer clients a documented pre-launch security review as part of any vibe-coded delivery, not just a working demo.
- Non-Technical Product Owner (Varies — protects whatever the app is worth to you) — Know exactly what to ask your AI tool (or a hired developer) before trusting an app with real user data.
Common questions
Do I need a security or engineering background?
No. This course is built for people shipping apps with AI coding tools (Lovable, v0, Bolt.new, Cursor, Claude Code, Replit Agent, or similar) who have no security background — every check is a plain-English question you ask your AI tool, plus how to verify the answer.
Does this replace a real security engineer?
No, and Lesson 4 says so directly. This course gives you a real, useful pre-launch pass for most small apps, plus a clear list of when to hire a professional instead — real payment processing, health or financial data, or anything you don't understand even after the AI says it's fixed.
Is this specific to one AI coding tool?
No — Lesson 3 gives you Claude Code's built-in /security-review command if you use it, plus a tool-agnostic prompt that works in Lovable, v0, Bolt.new, Cursor, ChatGPT, or anything else.
What do I end up with?
A real security-review-report.md for an app you actually built or are building: a threat model, a five-point check with real findings, a verified AI security review, and a written, justified ship / fix-first / hire-someone decision.
